Survey both outbound and return routes

Map the loaded route, the unloaded route and any sections that differ by direction. Record whether the floor is dry or may become wet, repaired areas and level transitions. Conditions at the same location that vary by shift or weather must be assessed within the intended scope of use.

Wide photos help identify the approach; close-ups show joints and damage. Do not enter an operating zone to measure until the facility has arranged safe access. Measurements must include the date, location and confirmer, not just a photo labelled “slight slope.”

Use this checklist to prepare information and compare proposals. Operating specifications must be confirmed for the exact model and configuration against the manufacturer's instructions.

Do not infer route suitability from a single gradeability figure

Product specifications normally come with test and load conditions. Do not use a general figure for a product series to claim that a forklift can lift, turn or perform every operation on a slope. Ask the technical unit to check the correct model documentation and the manufacturer's instructions for the specific route.

If choosing between tire types or forklift types, state the floor surface, load and environment. A forklift used outdoors is not automatically suitable for every uneven surface. Hangcha forklift catalog provides reference points, while approval requires site data.

Confirm floors and dockboards based on total load

Load capacity must account for the total forklift weight, load and concentrated design loads, not only pallet weight. A dockboard or lift platform has its own documentation and conditions of use; the responsible person must check compatibility with the configuration and intended operation.

Do not treat the fact that a forklift has crossed before, or that the floor looks solid, as sufficient evidence. If documentation is missing, record it as pending confirmation and arrange an appropriate assessment. A forklift adviser does not replace the person responsible for approving structures or equipment at the facility.

Check clearance for the complete forklift-and-load combination

Collapsed mast height, overhead guard, load and attachments can all affect doorway clearance. A slope transition can also change clearance and must be checked on site by a competent person. Do not compare doorway height only with one forklift dimension shown in an advertisement.

Where a route includes pedestrians, blind spots or crossings with trucks, the facility must establish an internal traffic plan. This article does not prescribe speed, slope angle or universal operating methods; those must follow the configuration instructions and applicable training.

Approve permitted zones before handover

Record the approved route, zones that remain prohibited or pending confirmation, and who decides when site conditions change. If a dockboard is added or the gate changes, reassess before moving the forklift to the new route. Acceptance records must clearly state the scope of work.

Send the file to ACE C&T together with a request for forklift rental. The configuration, survey schedule and support conditions will be agreed separately; do not drive a forklift into an unconfirmed section merely to see whether it can pass.

Rental terms and configuration-based quotations

ACE C&T rents out 100% new Hangcha forklifts with a minimum contract term of 12 months. Prices from VND 7,500,000 per truck per month apply to standard configurations, as confirmed on 07/10/2026; the model, operating hours, VAT, round-trip transport and maintenance scope are confirmed separately in the quotation. Do not treat the starting price as the rate for every configuration.

Submit a request to confirm the configuration and cost scope before approving the proposal.

Frequently asked questions

If a forklift can climb a slope, does that mean it may lift loads on the slope?

No. Travel capability and each operation have different conditions; the manufacturer's instructions and an approved safety plan are required.

Does floor load capacity only need to exceed the load weight?

No. The responsible specialist must assess the forklift, load, concentrated loads and the condition of the floor or dockboard.

Can a forklift be selected from photos of the floor?

Photos support an initial consultation. Measurements, documents and technical points still need confirmation before approving the route and configuration.
