Capacity, load centre and mast

Heavy or long loads require capacity to be assessed at the correct load centre and working height. When a clamp is fitted, confirm the remaining capacity after installation. Choosing only by nominal capacity and ignoring these conditions may require a configuration change.

Operating hours and work environment

A warehouse that needs a truck continuously and one that unloads only a few batches each day have different duty intensities. State the floor surface, gradients, dust and travel route so the configuration, maintenance schedule and included operating hours can be agreed.

Fuel, delivery and collection

Track actual diesel use instead of applying one litres-per-hour figure to every truck. The quotation must also separate delivery, collection and loading or unloading charges for the specific location.

Budgeting for fuel without confusing tank capacity with consumption

Fuel-tank capacity is not hourly fuel consumption. For budgeting, use measured diesel consumption under comparable operating conditions or a rate agreed by both parties. Monthly fuel cost equals forecast litres multiplied by the fuel price applicable when used.

The budget should separate rent, diesel, labour, out-of-package charges and tax. If data is unavailable, mark fuel as an estimate and update it after a trial period; do not describe it as ACE C&T's committed cost.

Record the mast, forks, tyres, attachments, hour meter at handover and maintenance schedule in the file. Confirm who tracks operating hours, who supplies consumables, the incident contact and any conditions for using a replacement truck.

Daily, monthly and yearly rental pricing
